Personal Life

Stella Banderas was born Stella del Carmen Banderas Griffith on September 24, 1996, in Marbella, Spain. She is the daughter of Spanish film actor, film director, film producer and singer  Antonio Banderas (born August 10, 1960) and American actress Melanie Griffith (born August 9, 1957). She has two older half siblings, Alexander Bauer (born 1985) and Dakota Johnson (born 1989), from her mother's previous marriages. Her maternal grandmother is actress and former model Tippi Hedren and her aunt is actress Tracy Griffith.

She has Spanish extraction from her father's side and Norwegian, Swedish, German and English from her mother. As a young child, Stella appeared with her mother in the film “Crazy in Alabama” (1999), which was directed by her father.

When she was three, Stella Banderas appeared as Marilyn in “Crazy in Alabama” (1999), the feature directorial debut of her father Antonio Banderas. Starring her mother Melanie Griffith as an abused wife who moved to California to become a movie star while her nephew back in Alabama has to cope with a racially-motivated murder involving a crooked sheriff, the comedy/drama performed poorly at the box office.

After her debut appearance, Stella has not appeared in any films or television shows and has primarily kept out of the spotlight throughout her life.
