Fumi Nikaido 二階堂 ふみ or Nikaidō Fumi was born 21 September 1994 in Okinawa Prefecture Japan is a Japanese actress and model. She becoming a model for the teen fashion magazine Nicola before making her acting debut in 2007. Nikaido creating characters that are radically different from each other, from the swaggering gangster’s daughter in “Jigoku de Naze Warui? (Why Don’t You Play in Hell?)” and the bubbly Gothic Lolita girl in “Shijukunichi no Recipe (Mourning Recipe)” to a cool-eyed student in the coming-of-age drama “Hotori no Sakuko (Au Revoir l’Eté),”

Starting as a model in Naha, Okinawa, Nikaidō made her film debut in 2009 in Toad's Oil, directed by Kōji Yakusho. Her breakthrough when she staring as violent teen hero in Sion Sono’s in drama “Himizu”. The film divided critics, but She and Shota Sometani received the Premio Marcello Mastroianni Award for Best New Young Actor and Actress for their work at the 68th Venice International Film Festival in 2011. Since then she has appeared in a succession of indie films, as well as a scattering of TV dramas.
