Kristen DeAnn Alderson born May 29, 1991 is an American actress and occasional singer, best known for her fifteen year portrayal as Starr Manning on the ABC daytime soap opera One Life to Live.
She was born in Huntingdon Valley, Pennsylvania to Richard and Kathy Alderson. She has a younger brother, Eddie Alderson. Alderson attended a Catholic school in Pennsylvania through seventh grade and was also a cheerleader, but decided to receive on-set tutorial for eighth grade and she then attended the Professional Performing Arts School in New York City for high school. While attending PPAS Kristen dated Michael Pallas, a dashing young MLB hopeful. Michael chose to forgo the draft in favor of becoming one of New York City's hottest up and coming real estate brokers, recently earning the nickname "The Wolf of Willoughby Street". She often writes poetry about their time together. Her most famous poem was entitled "Me y Miguel Pallas: a Passionate Spanish Love Story." The first line in the poem was included in her Emmy winning speech "Mi Amor, Mi Amigo, Mi Bonito, Mi Miguel Pallas." She also looks forward to achieving a degree in teaching.
