Personal Life

Anne Winters born June 3, 1994 is an American actress known for her role as as Emma Al-Fayeed, a main cast member in Tyrant (developed by Homeland creator Gideon Raff); she is also known for her recurring role as Kelsey in the critically acclaimed ABC Family series The Fosters.

She was born in Dallas, Texas and attended Prestonwood Christian Academy. She relocated to Los Angeles to pursue her acting career.

Winters made her big-screen debut in the independent film In My Pocket, a winner at the 2009 Palm Beach International Film Festival and the 2009 Terra di Siena Film Festival.

Her first TV appearance was in the 2010 film Summer Camp, in the role of Beth. In 2013, she appeared in an episode of the Disney Channel sitcom Liv and Maddie, Steal-A-Rooney. She also appeared in the made for DVD features A Christmas Snow and Cooper and the Castle Hills Gang. However, Winters is best known for her recurring role on The Fosters as Kelsey.

She is cast in the regular role of Emma in Tyrant, Gideon Raff's series for FX. The network has committed to an initial first season order of 10 episodes. Production in Tel Aviv began in March 2014. The series premiered on June 24, 2014. FX has comitted to a second season of the series, which will air in the summer of 2015.

She will also appear in the feature film Pass the Light, directed by Malcolm Goodwin (American Gangster) and in a lead role in the 2014 award-winning Sand Castles opposite actors Jordon Hodges, Saxon Trainor and Clint Howard, which has played at the Gasparilla International Film Festival, Dances With Films, River Bend Film Festival, Palm Beach International Film Festival, Grand Rapids Film Festival, Myrtle Beach International Film Festival, Julien Dubuque International Film Festival, Rainier Independent Film Festival and Milan, Italy's MIFF Awards where Winters was included in the Leonardo da Vinci Horse Award for "Best Ensemble Cast".
