Allison Williams born April 13, 1988 is an American actress, comedian, and musician. She stars as Marnie Michaels on the HBO comedy-drama series Girls.
She was born in Hartford, Connecticut, and is the daughter of NBC Nightly News anchor Brian Williams and Jane Gillan Stoddard, a TV producer. On her mother's side, she is a three times great-granddaughter of the abolitionist Rev. Owen Lovejoy.[citation needed] Williams was raised in New Canaan, Connecticut. She graduated from Yale University in 2010. While at Yale, Williams was a member of the improv comedy troupe Just Add Water for four years, as well as being a part of the YouTube series College Musical, and was abducted by St. Elmo.
